Justin had scout camp and the girls and I decided to take a little trip to Mendon so we didn't have to be home alone. Things are always more exciting in Mendon anyway! Plus then we have my parents to help entertain the girls. It's a win win for all of us! We started by doing some bubbles in our pajamas!
We then headed to campus to return a shirt and decided to walk around for awhile. We couldn't pass up the opportunity to have pictures taken on the Aggie A!
I love Brooke's facial expression in this picture!
We were tending Xander while Jillian was at work so we figured he needed to have his picture taken too!
Sometimes grandmas just have to do it all. Three kids two and under. That's enough to turn one's hair gray!
We then headed to Aggie ice cream. Lydia wanted blue ice cream and she was in luck. Aggie blue mint ice cream is the best in the world and she loved it!!
Brooke didn't get any ice cream but we let her have the cone.
Jillian also enjoyed her ice cream.
Xander was fascinated with my mom's ice cream. You can almost see him trying to figure out how to get his hands on it.
One of the days we went out to lunch. Lydia was a great big sister and waited at the bottom of the slide to catch Brooke as she went down.
The girls were also able to play in the sprinklers and then go swimming. Both of the girls love the water so they had so much fun.
My dad even made a slip and slide for the girls to play on. At one point he picked them up and tossed them down the slide. Lydia thought it was awesome!
My dad and I were also able to ride the horses for a while. I rode Rusty and he rode Shadow. I am pretty sure there was a Charlie horse involved with my dad too, but we'll just leave it at that!
It was a lot of fun going to Mendon. It is nice to be there when we don't have any real plans and we can just relax and hang out.
