New Year's Eve

On Saturday we drove back home and then Cammie, Dan and Nathan came over to spend New Year's Eve with us. They had an early flight back to Atlanta on New Year's day so they decided to stay here instead of staying in Logan. Once the kids were in bed, Justin and Dan went doorbell ditching at the Rohner's house because my parents were there playing games. When they got back we played Just Dance on the Wii. It was so much fun.We didn't stay up until midnight, we went to bed about eleven, but it was still a lot of fun.

Hardware Ranch

We went back to Logan on Friday, December 30, so we could go to Hardware Ranch and then dinner with everyone for Brady's birthday. We got to Logan about lunch time and Lydia loved the big container of cheese balls my parents had bought. Hollie loved it too.Doesn't Brooke look so big sitting in a high chair. She loves to be in the sitting position so this made it nice so she could be sitting but playing by us too.Hardware Ranch was a lot of fun. There hasn't been a lot of snow in Cache Valley so a lot of the elk haven't moved down yet, but we were able to see about 150 of them. They said that earlier in the week about 300 moved back up higher. Lydia and Nathan were really good while we waited in line for our turn. Nathan kept trying to give Lydia a hug.My dad was in charge of entertaining the kids while waiting for our turn.
Lydia loved watching the horses pull the wagons. We had Brooke bundled up nice and warm. She looked so cute! These are the pictures of us during the ride. Here we are with the horses after our ride. After Hardware Ranch we met up with Jillian and Brady and went to Gaucho Grill for Brady's birthday. Jillian and Brady came to my parents after and brought a little tent for the kids to play in. Lydia loved it!!

Feeding Brooke

During the week between Christmas and New Year's day Justin was able to come home from work early a few times. It was so nice! One of the days I had him help me feed Brooke a bottle because I wanted to measure how much she was eating (I usually nurse). This was only the second time we had given Brooke and bottle and Lydia thought it was so funny that dad was feeding Brooke. She kept trying to help and then decided to go get her baby to feed a bottle too. It was the cutest thing ever!

One Year Later

It is amazing how much Lydia has changed in just one year. Here is a picture of her from Christmas in 2010 compared to her Christmas 2011. It is hard to believe she was once that little!
I had to post these next two also because I think it is funny that she was playing with her dress in both the pictures; proof that she never has been able to hold still.

Christmas Day

Christmas morning was crazy! We opened up our gifts first thing and then went and got ready for church. The Laraways and the Shorts were both leaving right after church to head to the in-laws. It was Brooke's first Christmas. She obviously didn't understand what was going on, but it was still so much fun to have her there. Lydia understood more this year. She loves helping open the gifts. She would go from person to person and help them open their gifts. She didn't quite get to stay in one spot and we would give her more gifts that we hers to open. She was so much fun though. Brooke got a chair that matches the one Lydia got last year. Brooke looks so big sitting in it.After awhile Brooke just wanted to be down so we let her play in the swing.
We were definitely spoiled. Justin and I got stuff for the house. He got a new drill and bit set from me and I got a clothes hamper, step stool, and piano book from him. Santa gave Brooke a little dog that talks and he gave Lydia got a pack of play balls and a bouncy house. We gave Lydia some wooden blocks, bath toys, and some books. We gave Brooke a couple of outfits and then some new toys too. My parents spoiled us all too. Justin and I got a new weed eater and a picture frame, and a gift card to Kohls. Lydia got the Little People airport, fun park, and matching toys and Brooke got the Little People Noahs Ark and a new walker toy that she can play with once she learns to sit up too. They both got some other miscellaneous toys from my parents too! We were spoiled! Cammie and Dan got pictures of what they got for Christmas. My parents already sent the stuff to Georgia so they wouldn't have to pack it back so my mom just wrapped pictures of what she gave them so they would still have something to open.Nathan was funny opening gifts. He kept dancing and saying, "Go Nathan. Go Nathan. Oh yeah. Oh yeah." He was way funny.Jillian and Brady got some cute stuff for the baby.My parents and all of their gifts. We took our traditional pictures but the Christmas tree. Brooke and Lydia looked so cute in their matching Christmas dresses. My parents and the grand-kids
Jillian and BradyThe LarawaysAfter church my parents and the kids got into the Hawaii shirts that my parents brought home from their trip there a few weeks early. It was quite the challenge to get a picture of all five of them looking. We never succeeded. This is the best one we took.My grandparents Nuttall had their annual Christmas party at their house Christmas night. The only picture I got from there was this cute one of Brooke! It was such a fun Christmas. Having little kids definitely makes it so much more fun too!
