Justin was able to go with the scouts in our ward to Big Rock Candy Mountain, a camp near Richfield, Utah. I think that he had so much fun! They left Thursday afternoon and came back on Saturday. While they were there they we able to do some ropes course things, zip line, white water rafting, golfing, and some other activities. The first night they made dinner and they were able to just hang out.
Our bishop took the above picture, he kind of cut some of the boys' heads off! He is an amazing guy though, so we'll let this one slide.
The boys were able to get some swimming in on the first night. Justin said that they were lucky because the camp called them on their way down and said that the cabin type things were open and they could stay in them if they wanted to. This meant they didn't have to set up tents or sleep on the floor. I was told by the guy the bunked with Justin that Justin snored....I guess he was tired because Justin only snores when he is tired.
This is everyone getting ready for the day's adventures.
They walked across this bridge thing. It looks crazy! Luckily they had a rope to hang onto for balance.
One of the other leaders had a hard time with this obstacle. The rope he was supposed to hold onto was loose so he ended up tipping over. The workers had to go out and rescue him...twice.
Some random donkeys that Justin thought were funny. He said they got excited when people walked by.
Saturday before they came home they stopped in Richfield and went golfing.
Justin had a great time at scout camp. He is such a great leader and example to the boys and I know that he has a lot of fun with them too!
