Father's Day Weekend

We had a fun Father's Day weekend. We started by planting a zucchini plant and tomato plant in our tiny garden area. Lydia loved helping. She crawled around in the dirt and played with the watering can until she was covered in mud. When she was done we put her right into the tub! Luckily for us she loves baths because she was pretty upset when we took her away from the mud.On Saturday, we went swimming. It was the perfect place for Lydia because she was able to walk in the water. It had stairs that she loved going up and down, along with a little kiddie slide. She also liked the deeper area and wanted to swim on her belly. She loves the water and kept trying to put her face into the water. I only have this one good picture because I just hurried and took it before I got in the water with Justin and Lydia.For Justin's Father's Day date we took him to Red Lobster. Lydia was fascinated with the lobster tank which made it nice because it entertained her while we waited to be seated.When Lydia woke up on Father's Day I went and got her out of her crib and took her into our room where Justin was. He was still laying in bed so I told Lydia to go give him kisses and tell him happy Father's Day. She went over to him and kissed him and then gave him a bug hug. It was the cutest thing ever. I wish I would have had my camera there to get a picture. After church, Lydia and I made dinner for Justin. Well actually, Justin had to cook his own dinner because he knows how he likes his steak, but Lydia and I did the rest. Lydia loves corn on the cob!This is the only Daddy-Daughter picture I took on the Father's Day.Justin is the best dad that a little girl could ever dream of having. Lydia and I are so blessed to have him in our lives! We love you dad-dad!

Whitmer Reunion

The Whitmer Reunion was the first weekend in June. This year we went to Moose Lodge in Oxford, Idaho. It was fun to try a new location and to have almost everyone there this year. There was a big cabin there that had about eight bedrooms and three bathrooms. We were lucky enough to be able to get one of the rooms. Having a room made it really nice with Lydia so that we could still have her take naps and go to bed at her normal time. Lydia liked playing on the bed. She did really good sleeping. One morning she woke up at five and we put her in the bed between us and she actually fell back to sleep. When she woke up again she looked over and saw Justin right next to her and got super excited.We did the traditional activities at the reunion. Justin played a game of paintball.Lydia wanted to play too.Justin and Lydia were able to go four wheeling.Lydia loved the four wheelers. Anytime one drove past her she would stop what she was doing and wave. Justin's uncle had a little one and Lydia loved driving it by herself.Lydia was so busy and kept going from one thing to another, so in order to keep her contained we would take her on walks.The view was extremely pretty.Justin's sister, Stephanie, took her dog Bobbi to the reunion and Lydia loved having her there. She loves all animals.Justin was also able to get in a game of horse shoes.Lydia loved having other kids around to play with. Most of Justin's cousins have kids that range in age from 6 months to 8 years so it was fun to have them all running around.Justin, Lydia, and I went on a little hike. Lydia liked being in the backpack. I think that she liked being able to reach Justin's head.It was a fun reunion. I think Lydia was completely exhausted by the time we left.

Lydia's Trip to Mendon

My parents were gracious enough to watch Lydia for us while we were in Hawaii. They made sure to keep her entertained and busy the entire week too. She always has so much fun there because there is so much to do. I joked with my mom that Lydia was going to be bored when we took her back home. Lydia started off her week's adventures by going bowling with my parents, Jillian, Brady, and my cousins that were in town from Rexburg, Idaho.Lydia got distracted and ended up playing the arcade games.After bowling they went to lunch at Pizza Pie Cafe. I think Lydia enjoyed it this time.She made sure to tell my dad thanks for lunch and helped feed him.

Playing with worms.Working in the tractor.Brief moments of relaxation.Washing dishes.
Cleaning up in the kitchen sink, which really was playing in the kitchen sink.Practicing the piano.
Shopping at the mall and playing at the play area.Going out to lunch.Mowing the lawn.Playing outside on the lawn.Going to the Willow Park Zoo.
Multiple visits to multiple parks.Going out to dinner at restaurants with play areas.Climbing to the top of the play areas and having to get rescued by Jillian.Watching Grandpa with the dogs out the window.Watching the dogs. Playing in the tractor.
And most importantly, riding Samie.
All in all I think that she had a fun week. We are very grateful to my parents and glad that she was in good hands while we were gone.
