Decorating for Christmas

We put our Christmas decorations up a week before Thanksgiving because we will be gone Thanksgiving weekend. Thanksgiving is also the last Thursday of the month so it gave us a little more motivation to get it set up. Lydia was super excited to put the tree up this year.

She loved helping put the ornaments on.

Brooke thought it was a lot of fun putting the ornaments on too. The bottom of my tree was decorated a ton!

Keera enjoyed just hanging out and watching everything.

Lydia was insistent that she put the star on top of the tree because Christmas trees have stars on them. She thinks she knows everything. She usually does too!

After seeing Lydia put the star on, Brooke wanted to get in on the action too.

We had a lot of fun and are definitely excited for Christmas at our house.

Christmas Dress

I know it's still before Thanksgiving, but Justin had to be at a job in Logan first thing Monday morning, so we all rode up with him and stayed the weekend at my parents house. I took the girls' Christmas dresses so they would have more chances to wear them before Christmas.

I know these pictures are all pretty much the same, but the facial expressions change on each kid each time and they are too funny not to post. I never did get a picture of all three of them looking at the camera though.

If the dresses look familiar it is because Lydia is the only one with a new dress. Brooke and Keera are wearing hand-me-downs of dresses that Lydia wore at one point.

Keera's Smile

These pictures a little blurry because Keera thinks she needs to move her head to the side when she smiles, but I couldn't resist posting them because she is pretty cute!

Keera is seven weeks old in these pictures. She's had her harness on for two weeks and goes back for another ultrasound in two weeks.

Turkey Feather Cookies

Justin was home sick one day and I was trying to come up with something to do with the girls so they wouldn't keep bugging him and he'd be able to sleep. I came up with making sugar cookie turkey feathers, which is the same as football shaped cookies. Brooke and Lydia thought this was fun! Keera even got in on the action, at least for the picture.

Lydia and Brooke were each given their own section of dough and they rolled it out, cut it, squished it back together, and repeated those steps over and over again. They never realized that they could eat the dough, which was good because it kept them playing longer.

They were both given their own frosting and sprinkles to frost their own cookies too. They were pretty excited about this.

And of course, the best part, eating the finished cookie!

We had a really fun day making the cookies. Too bad Justin was sick though or it would have been even more fun having him help.

One Dress and Two Jammies

I got Keera in her dress for church a little earlier than I did Brooke and Lydia. We have eleven o'clock church so we don't always get dressed right when we wake up. I was taking some pictures of Keera and Lydia and Brooke wanted to be in them too.

Keera is almost seven weeks old in these pictures.

I love these little girls. Brooke and Lydia adore Keera and that has made things pretty easy for me.

Cowgirl Jammies

What is better than cowgirl jammies?

Lydia is better at posing for pictures alone than Brooke is.

These two are best friends!

I love these cowgirl jammies! They are the cutest ever.

Every Day Life

Sometimes I forget to take pictures of every day life. Most days we hang out at home playing toys, reading books, doing puzzles, dressing up in dress up clothes, dancing, singing, and running around the house over and over and over again..."on your mark, get set, go!"

Lydia loves talking to Keera and trying to make her smile. When Keera does smile at Lydia, Lydia gets very excited about it and tries the same thing over and over again. If Keera is crying and Lydia can't get her to smile it breaks Lydia's heart and Lydia says, "Keera no like me." It is pretty sad when that happens. Luckily, Lydia can usually make Keera smile.

We have been trying to wean Brooke off of her binky (which she usually only gets at night), but she keeps thinking that she needs it more and more. She will come out of her room with her blanket in front of her mouth and this little guilty look on her face as she tries to hide the fact that she has her binky.

Brooke is such a silly girl with the most fun personality ever!

Keera is getting too bug too quickly. She has adapted well to her harness and it doesn't seem to phase her at all.

Keera is very easy to make smile! I love it! She's such a doll.

Keera's Blessing

Keera was blessed on November 3rd. Justin was able to give her the blessing. My parents bought Keera's dress for us. It is really pretty. It is long (that's how I like them), and it has roses on it.
