Matthew and Lisa were able to come and visit for a few days. They were here for a week, but had to spend some time with Lisa's family. I would have been okay with sacrificing and letting them spend all the time with us, but Lisa is too nice and thought she should see her family too. I always forget how much fun they are to be around. I sure do wish they lived closer. Their flight came in Thursday around noon so we met them for lunch at Matthew's favorite Wienerschnitzel. Often times their trips are planned around which restaurants they don't have in Knoxville. Lisa usually wins and eats at her favorite, but this time we snuck this one in for Matthew.
Grandma and Grandpa were able to come and meet us there! It is always so much fun visiting with them.
We made a short stop after lunch at our house so Matthew and Lisa could see it and then we headed up to Mendon. We went to dinner at Pizza Pie Cafe and then we were able to just hang out the rest of the night. Brooke kept trying to get Xander in the pack and play. She finally gave up and started playing with her toys. Lydia helped me dad make bread!
We were able to see a really pretty rainbow behind my parent's pasture.
On Friday we went to The Dark Night Rises. My mom and dad stayed home with Brooke, Lydia, and Xander so we all could go. It was a really good movie. Justin and I don't make it out to see movies very often so we were excited. After the movie we went shooting. Once again, my mom stayed home with the girls. They also were trying to get things ready for dinner too.
We did clay pigeon shooting first and then went and did target shooting.
Lisa was so proud of herself because she shot her bunny target right in the eye!
Later that night we did a dance off on the Wii game, Just Dance. Lisa and Matthew are both very impressive dancers.
Justin usually just did his own dance moves during the game and often times he ended up with the highest score!
