We went to Leeds for the weekend the week before Easter. We tried to pack in as many fun things as we could while we were there. We got there later on Thursday evening and Michelle and Clayton came over so we were able to visit with them. Friday morning we met up with Michelle and her family and headed out to Snow Canyon to let the kids play in the sand dunes. This was the highlight of the trip for the girls.
Justin also enjoyed being able to play and get dirty in the sand.
Lydia would have stayed and played in the sand all day long if we would have let her.
Lydia thought it was fun to bury her feet in the sand.
Brooke thought it was fun to put on Justin's shoes and socks.
She thought it was even more fun to stick her head in the sand. I had sprayed sunscreen on her part in the hair so the sand was sticking to her hair tons! It was hilarious. She was so dirty.
The girls soon realized how fun it was to crawl up and down the hill.
We had a picnic lunch at the sand dunes and then went on the "Pioneer Names" hike. There are pioneer names written on top of the rocks.
The girls liked being able to just climb all over the place.
Justin decided to go up the furthest. The picture doesn't show how high up he climbed.
Here the girls are with Grandpa Ron and Grandma Carol.
After the sand dunes we colored Easter eggs with Arianna.
On Saturday we spent some time at Michelle's house and then Justin, the girls and I went to the Red Hill above St. George to climb on more rocks. Lydia found a "cave" and thought it was the best thing ever.
Brooke was climbing all over the place. She was in heaven. We had to keep a close eye on her because she would be gone up the rocks so fast.
It was a fun trip to Leeds. We were able to get a lot of fun things in and we definitely wore the girls out.
