After the rabbit chase we went and watched the parade and ate lunch. Lisa was insistent that she wasn't going to share her Black Cherry soda with Brooke.
Jillian wouldn't let Brooke hold Xander either.
Poor little Brooke finally just got put in her stroller to watch the parade. Brooke is so busy. It is funny watching her go from thing to thing trying to figure out what she can play with.
One of the things in the parade was the Cache Valley Humane Society. Lydia went right up to this puppy and started petting it. You can ask Justin how come we didn't buy it for her....
Small town parades are fun because they throw out so much candy and Lydia was also able to catch some necklaces. She was pretty excited. After the parade we went and found some shade so we could relax and cool off a little before heading over to get squirt by the fireman's hoses.
My dad kept sitting in different positions and Lydia would copy everything that he did. It was kind of cute watching them.
Justin and my dad took Lydia to get squirt by the firemen. This year's wasn't set up as good as the previous years because they had the foam hose too close to the fireman with the water and he wasn't paying attention and was squirting everything and anyone in his way. Lydia still had fun and it cooled her off really well!
All three of them were soaking wet by the time they were done!
Brooke had to just watch in her stroller. When I went to take this picture she was leaning back and almost asleep until she saw me and then she had to jump up and pose for me. What a stinker!
Lydia was able to go on a couple of pony rides at the carnival part of the celebration. She loves horses so much. She was so proud of herself because she could ride a horse without any hands.
She would wave every time she went past us!
We ended the day off by watching fireworks in the evening. It is a fun little celebration they have.
