Girls Trip

Lydia and I went with Cammie and Nathan to Logan on Tuesday to hang out with my mom. We spent the night on Tuesday so we could have more time to get things done.We spent some time painting decorations for our houses while Nathan was taking a nap.When Nathan got up from his nap he wanted to paint too. He wouldn't look at the camera because he was too busy concentrating on what he was doing. Hollie wanted Lydia to play ball with her. The whole time we were there Hollie would put her tennis ball as close as she could get it to Lydia hoping that Lydia would throw it for her.In the afternoon we went to a park. It was a nice day. It still has been pretty rainy. In fact, on Monday we got over an inch of snow. That is just ridiculous. Right when we got to the park we heard the train's whistle blow (my parents have a train track just down the road from their house). Well, Nathan is obsessed with the train so we had to go find it.However, Nathan is a little chicken. He gets scared easily. So when the train blew his horn (which is actually pretty loud) Nathan took off running to his mom.Lydia didn't see what all of the excitement was about and just stayed asleep in the car.My dad had put some pennies on the train track so that the train could smash it. After we were done train chasing we went back to the park to play.We had lots of fun at the park and all took our turn playing with Nathan.

On Wednesday we painted some more and went shopping.Jillian had the day off work so she was able to come and hang out too.Lydia must have had more fun than she could handle.She is funny because when she is taking a nap she won't fall asleep unless she has the blanket right up against her chin.

Going to visit my mom made me realize how much I miss Cache Valley. It is so pretty there.

Three Months Old!

Lydia turned three months old on May 23. She is getting so big and changing every day. We love having her in our lives. She is just a little doll.She is started to coo and babble a lot more now. She loves it when people smile at her and she will smile the biggest smile back.
She loves to put everything into her mouth. Especially her hands. She sucks on them all day long. She is still more interested in the camera than actually smiling though. She is looking at Justin who is most likely making funny faces trying to get her to smile.Lydia is the best baby ever! Just a cute little doll.

Horses

May 15th we went to Logan to ride the horses. I hadn't had a chance to ride since mid October when I felt too pregnant to want to keep riding. It was nice to just be outside and working with the horses. It's been rainy lately so we were excited for the nice weather.

Lydia likes being in her stroller. She sits and looks at everything all around her and she'll kick her legs. It is pretty cute to watch her.We finally introduced Samie and Lydia to each other. I think they are going to be great friends. Lydia is looking forward to the day when her grandpa buys her the pony he has promised.My parents were watching Nathan because his parents were on a cruise. Nathan has decided that he loves the horses. He helped us brush them and get them ready. Sometimes he had to get put in the trough so he would stay away from the horses' feet. When I was walking Samie to where I was going to ride her, Nathan started running after us and was upset thinking that I wasn't going to let him ride too.Justin is fun to watch with kids. Nathan wanted to play with him so Justin gave him a ride.I know Justin is excited for Lydia to get a little older. He always asks how old she has to be before he can throw her in the air and stuff like that. He is a great daddy! We definitely enjoyed our trip to Logan.Jillian and Brady on Samie and Rusty.

We spent the night at my parent's house and Lydia was really sick. She kept throwing up over and over again. The poor little thing. She rarely cries, but that night she cried so much and you could tell that she wasn't feeling well at all. It was the saddest little cry. Around midnight Justin ran to the store to get some Pedialite that the doctor had recommended to us. Lydia finally fell asleep around one thirty. The next morning she seemed to feel a lot better though so we were happy about that.

Playing Dress Up

Lydia is fun to take places because people always comment on how cute she is and about how much hair she has.She has a few little dresses that we put her in when we go to church. They are cute because they show off her chubby, little thighs.I asked Justin to try to make her smile and all she did was follow him. She likes to look at us and follow us when we walk around. She is pretty observant of what is going on around her.She smiles all of the time, but when I get the camera out she tries to focus on that instead of smiling. She loves it when I sing her songs and it has been fun to listen to Justin try to sing her songs too. Sometimes Lydia even starts singing along.Lydia still loves her giraffe, Jimmy. He is her nap time buddy. She is always reaching out and touching his face as she falls asleep.
Lydia loves to stick her tongue out. She is constantly sucking on her hands and licking her lips. It is pretty cute to watch her.She has also started blowing bubbles and making noises with her lips. She mostly does it in the mornings. She is a cutie!! (These pictures were taken May 16.)

Wheeler Farm

Yesterday Lydia and I went to Wheeler Farm with Cammie and Nathan. Nathan likes to drive the tractors. My dad has a tractor so he wants to be just like "papa".
It was a little chilly so we kept Lydia covered in her stroller.
Nathan insists on helping with everything that Lydia is doing. He loves to push her in the stroller and wants to do it all by himself.When he is tired of pushing he likes to ride on the stroller. He watches Lydia to make sure that she is okay.We packed a lunch and ate there. It was nice to be outside even if it was a little on the cold side. The day looked so nice but it had a little breeze.We tried to feed the ducks before lunch, but Nathan was hungry and started to eat the bread and didn't want to throw it to the ducks. After lunch we went and fed the ducks and geese again. This time they were standing right by him. I kept trying to throw the bread at Nathan's feet so the ducks would come and eat by him. As you can see in the picture, he is still trying to eat the bread.
Nathan likes to point out everything that he sees. I think he pointed to every tree on the farm to let me know that it was there. We stopped to play behind the trees on our way back to the parking lot. Well, when we got to the parking lot this is what we saw.
I hurried and called 911 and Cammie ran to make sure nobody was in the car. Some people that we there said they saw someone start the fire and hurry and drive away. Our cars were only ten to twelve cars away from this car. They smelled of smoke when we got in them.
The fire department used a chain saw to cut the hood off of the car to make sure the flames didn't keep spreading. It was funny to watch the cows watch the fire. After awhile they started to run around all crazy like and then they would come back and watch the fire again.
