Fun with a Box

We were in Logan a few weekends ago and my dad provided Lydia with a new toy: a box!
At first he made it into a hut for her. He cut a door and some windows in it. Lydia sat there and put toys in and out of it and also crawled in and out of the door. After she was done playing with the hut my dad made it into a slide for her.She loved the slide. When she reached the bottom she would try to climb back up.After playing so hard, Lydia was pretty hungry. It is pretty entertaining to watch her eat!Needless to say, it's not quite as much fun to clean her up after the fact!

Trip to Vernal

We went to Vernal the weekend of February 25-27 to celebrate Trey and Lydia's birthday. Trey's birthday was February 20th. Justin's parents and sister, Michelle, and Michelle's baby, Arianna, went also. I don't know if Vernal is the ideal travel location at the end of February, but we still had fun.

We stayed at a hotel and it has a swimming pool. I don't have pictures of Lydia in the water, but she absolutely loved swimming. She would lay on her back and kick her legs and everything. She even tried to put her face in the water.Lydia tries to get her binki and yellow duck blanket out of her crib all the time. It is so funny to watch her. When she is done with them she will go and put them back in the crib too. While we were there we were able to go and watch Trey during one of his indoor soccer games. Justin's mom with Levi and Lydia waiting for the game to start.Justin tried to help trey warm up for the soccer game. Trey was a little bit better though and was able to score past Justin.

After the game we went back to Stacey's house and had lunch and a little birthday party for Trey and Lydia. This was Lydia's third birthday cake for the year and I think she finally got the hang of eating it.Doesn't she make the cake look delicious. She had cake all over her face and also all over her hair, but at least she enjoyed herself.
It doesn't look like Trey enjoyed his cake quite as much as Lydia did. After cake they opened their presents. Lydia was spoiled and got a blow up horse from the Parkers and her very first baby doll from the Langstons. She loved her gifts so much. One of the nights when everyone went swimming, Michelle hung out in our hotel room. Once Lydia was done swimming we took her back to the room and gave her a bath. Lydia then wanted to play with Arianna. Lydia is fascinated with little babies, even though she is still a little baby. It is so cute.Lydia doesn't usually have her binki unless she is sleeping or in the car, but she was able to get it from the hotel crib so we let her keep it since it was so close to bedtime.
We had a fun time in Vernal and it was nice to hang out with family.

Lydia's First Birthday

Lydia turned one on February 23rd! We can't believe that it has already been a year.
We started the day off by letting her open her gifts before Justin went to work.
My mom and sister and nephew came over during the day to help celebrate. We went to McDonald's for lunch. She liked playing on the playground there.
She also got to have her very first ice cream cone. I think that she really enjoyed it.
When Justin got home from work we took her to Del Taco for dinner. Lydia loves Del Taco so that is why we decided to take her there. After dinner we let her have another birthday cake. She really likes cake.Happy Birthday to the sweetest baby girl ever!! We are so blessed to have her in our lives and we love her so much!
