Camping With Dad

Justin took the girls camping in the backyard.  Brooke and Lydia both enjoyed setting up the tent.  It probably made the process of getting it set up a little longer, but they had fun!  Once the tent was all the way up they loved running inside and stomping around in it.  Lydia kept pretending that she was "night night."

 

 I love how you can see the excitement on her face!

 Brooke was pretty much copying everything that Lydia did.

 Lydia went inside and brought out everything she thought they would need for the campout: pillows, blankets, yellow duck, Brooke's special blanket, Justin's pillow, and more blankets.

 Shhh, Lydia is night night.

 

 Brooke only stayed on her spot for about 2.8 seconds.  She then climbed on top of Justin, over to Lydia, around the sleeping bags, back on top of Justin.  I went and checked on them about thirty minutes later and both girls were still just climbing all over the place.  I ended up asking Brooke if she wanted to go night night in her bed and she ran and grabbed her blanket and started coming out of the tent.  She slept great inside and Justin and Lydia were able to have fun on the camping trip!

Home-made Ice Cream

The girls were so excited to get to make ice cream.  They thought it was so much fun and loved putting all the ice cubes in the side of the ice cream maker.

 

 The best part was when we turned the ice cream maker on and the girls realized how noisy it was!
