Two Months

Brooke turned two months old on Saturday, November 19. I can't believe it has already been two months. It doesn't seem like is has been that long, but at the same time we have done so much since we had her too.

She is getting so big and smiles all of the time when someone comes and talks to her. She has the cutest smile and it is such a big happy smile. I absolutely love it!

We met with the orthopedic surgeon and had another ultrasound of her hip on Tuesday, November 15th, and Dr. Stott said that her hip was getting better, but it wasn't where it needed to be yet so we still need to keep the harness on her, but we can now take it off for four or five hours a day. It is so much fun because now I can cuddle her and put her in cute outfits again. I decided to take her two month pictures with the harness off. We have to go back for another ultrasound every three weeks. Once her hip is where the doctor wants it to be we only have to wear the harness for three more week and only at night and then he said we can throw it away. We are hoping that we get that news at our next appointment. After that, Brooke will then have to have an x-ray when she is six months old to make sure everything is still good. We are pretty optimistic that everything will be good!

Brooke loves to talk and coo. Sometimes it even sounds like she is saying hi. I love these pictures of her because they make her feet look so big. Joan Rohner made these shoes for Lydia. It is nice having hand-me-downs for Brooke to wear.

Brooke is a really good baby. She gets a little fussy every night around seven when she is tired and trying to fall asleep, but other than that we rarely hear her cry which is extremely nice. She is going to be one tough little girl though because she puts up with a lot from Lydia. These are the best sister pictures we have been able to get of Brooke and Lydia together. Lydia is a good big sister and always tries to cover Brooke up, wipe Brooke's face, or put the binki in Brookes mouth; Lydia just doesn't know how to be soft yet. Lydia always makes sure she gives Brooke kisses before going to bed each night and in the morning when Lydia wakes up she has to know right where Brooke is. They will be best friends in a few years!

Brooke had her two week check up and had to get three shots today. She only cried for about six seconds. She weighs 13 pounds and 3 ounces. She is in the 95th percentile for weight. She is 24 inches long and is in the 97th percentile for length. Her head circumference is 15.4 inches which is in the 55th percentile. She is definitely a growing baby. We love watching her smile and interact with us. Two little girls are the best!!
