Matthew and Lisa's Visit - Day One

Matthew and Lisa were kind enough to use some of their vacation time to visit us in Utah. They came late Wednesday night, but we didn't meet up with them until Thursday, July 14th. Lisa went to the Mirage Day Spa and got her hair done and after that we met up with everyone for lunch. At the restaurant there was a little window that Lydia liked playing in. There was also a fist tank that she was fascinated with. She just went from person to person eating food off of their plates.
After lunch we made a quick stop at Randee and Company. Lydia found this little basket that she pushed all around the store. Our next stop was Fat Cats in Ogden. We bought a pass that included arcade tokens, bowling, mini golf (which we didn't do because we ran out of time) and bumper cars. Lydia loved the arcade. She went from one thing to the next to the next. She is super busy.Lydia's favorite person is my dad. She follows him every where. We spent the majority of our arcade tickets on one game. Jillian hit the jack pot first, then Matthew, then me. Matthew and Lisa hit it multiple time after (they bought more tokens).Needless to say, when all was said and done we had plenty of tickets to get some of the bigger prizes. Everyone donated their tickets to Lydia and we got her a cute pillow pet. After the arcade we headed over to the Flow Rider where Jillian, Brady, and Justin did indoor surfing. I think that it looked like a lot of fun, but seeing how I am big and pregnant, we figured it wouldn't be the best idea for me to do.Lydia got restless so my mom and dad kept taking her outside to play in the fountains. She had a blast!!It was fun watching them surf and they had some pretty hard falls (which made it even more entertaining to watch). And the after picture...Jillian and Brady tried surfing and they also did the boogie board too. They were able to surf for an hour. Once they were done we headed over to the bowling alley. Lydia thought that it was the funnest thing ever. She thought that the bowling floor was the perfect dance place. And so did Justin.Lydia also made sure to give everyone a high five if they bowled well.
It was a lot of fun. We all just goofed off most of the time. After bowling we did the bumper cars. Lydia and I stood on the side and watched. Lydia would bust up laughing whenever my dad came close to her because he would try to hit into the side really hard and then bounce back. She thought it was so funny. After the bumper cars we went to Costa Vida for dinner and then headed to Mendon. On the way through Sardine Canyon we saw a moose. I didn't get the best picture of it, but it was cool to see. The view of the moon from my parents' deck was really pretty that night. We had a fun first day with Matthew and Lisa.
