Weekend in Leeds

This past weekend we went to Leeds to visit Justin's family. We left Friday afternoon after Justin got off work. It is about a four hour drive from where we live now. Not too long, but long enough for me to get restless. Lydia does really well in the car.We stop half way there to let Lydia get out of her car seat and move around for a while. She is such a cute little girl. We are lucky that she likes her car seat. She just sits there and talks to herself and plays with her toys.It was fun to see Justin's family and to let them see how much Lydia has grown and changed since the last time they saw her. When we got there we were able to go to Larsen's Frostop in St. George. They have a dessert called a glacier which is a slushy with soft served ice cream in it. I am addicted and try to talk Justin into taking me there each time we are in Leeds.

On Saturday we went boating with his parents and younger sister. We left about 8:30 in the morning to got out. It was a lot of fun and the weather was perfect! It was about 80 degrees or so and the temperature of the water was perfect! Carol and Stephanie were cold though. They are used to over 100 degree temperatures. Justin's sister, Stephanie
Justin's dadJustin's momLydia does okay in the boat. She is uncomfortable in her life jacket, but as long as the boat is moving then she is happy. She starts to get fussy if the boat hasn't been moving for a while.
Justin out wake boarding. He is pretty good. This trip her perfected turning the direction of the board without falling! Look at him go.This is me on the wake board. Once again, I was able to wake board without getting my hair wet! We had a lot of fun boating. Lydia was getting a little restless so after a while they took us back to the shore and I pushed Lydia in her stroller while they stayed out on the water for a little bit longer.

After we were done boating we went out to lunch with Justin's sister and brother-in-law, Michelle and Clayton. Lydia had a lot of fun playing with spilled water on the table. After lunch we went to Michelle's house and played a game for a while. For dinner we went to Justin's parents' ward for a ward dinner. Sunday we went to church and then left for home early afternoon. It was a nice, little visit!
