On Saturday Lisa had to work so we went without her back to Pigeon Forge to go see a Titanic Museum. Matthew had to work half a day so we didn't leave until after noon, but that made it nice for Lydia to be able to catch up a little bit on her sleep.
When you purchase a ticket they give you a boarding pass and it tells the story of who you are and at the end of the museum you get to see if you survived or not. Matthew was the captain. He didn't survive. Both mom and I survived though. This is a picture of his boarding pass.
Lydia does really well waiting in line and getting pushed around in her stroller. She got a little fussy during the Titanic museum, but other than that she was okay. These are pictures of her waiting in line for the Titanic.
The museum was pretty cool. There was a lot that we learned that I didn't know or realize. This is a picture of what the grand staircase in the Titanic looked like. It had linoleum on the stairs. At that time, only millionaires could afford linoleum so it was people that it was amazing that the Titanic had linoleum.
There was even a section where you stood in a room that was about the same temperature that it would have been outside and they had some 28 degree water, which was the temperature of the ocean at the time, that you could put your hand in and feel. It was so cold. I wouldn't have been able to stay in the water.
This anchor is the size of one of the three anchors that the Titanic had on it.
All in all, the Titanic was a fun and interesting place to visit.
