Our next adventure was to Dollywood. It was a rainy day which made it nice because it kept the majority of the crowds away. It wasn't a down pour or anything, just a few sprinkles and mist most of the day.We had Lydia covered from the rain so she wouldn't get wet.She took a couple of naps during the day which was good. We all took turns pushing Lydia around. I think everyone had fun with her. It is more fun when you can see her though instead of her being covered by the umbrella.Dollywood has a replica of the cabin that Dolly Parton grew up in. It is crazy to think of that many people living in a house that only had one bedroom and a kitchen.Dollywood has a few rides and some shops. We mostly just walked around and looked at the shops. We didn't go on any of the rides. Some people may call us boring, but we had a lot of fun. There is a bakery right behind the water mill in the above picture that sold the best tasting cinnamon bread (as Lisa calls it). It was really good though! This is Lisa eating the bread. This is Matthew and Lisa doing their happy dance after eating the bread.Poor Lydia didn't get any bread. She only got fruit and oatmeal. Such a cute little girl.I saw this sign and Lisa asked me how many white feet Samie has. Samie is a paint so she has four!Mom, Lisa and Lydia decided that they wanted to join a union. The chairs were wet so that is why they are squatting. For lunch we had corn dogs and tator twists. The corn dogs were huge! They had a bald eagle rescue at Dollywood. The eagles are gorgeous. The ones that are there are ones that have been injured and wouldn't be able to survive in the wild. Some pictures of us being random. There was an Irish store there so I think that is the purpose of these next pictures. The first ones are Lisa and Matthew, then me and my mom, then me and Lydia.More random pictures. We had fun taking pictures if you can't tell.Mom the train conductorLisa the bear followed by me being the bear ranger.Random statues of vegetables in the park.We also went on a train ride while we were there. It is a train that actually used to go on the rails, but they have now retired it. It's name is Klondike Katie. This was us on the train. It was a pretty long train ride. We had fun looking at everything. They had little cabins and different things throughout the train ride. We also went and watched a play while at Dollywood. It is based on one of her songs, Sha Kon o Hey. Lydia got to sit in a chair all by herself. We had to hold it down though because it kept trying to fold her up in it.She also liked holding onto the treats for the show.We had a lot of fun at Dollywood and enjoyed the rain too because it helped keep things a little cooler for us.
Afterward we went to dinner and then over to Matthew and Lisa's apartment to hang out for a while.Lydia loved being able to roll around and play on the floor. She even entertained us by starting to dance when we had music on.I think Matthew and Lisa enjoyed being home too!It was a fun day!
True love is not so much a matter of romance as it is a matter of anxious concern for the well being of one's companion."

Did Lisa sing the Shakanohey song the rest of the day! :)
You know it Jillian! I sure love the pics Brittany chose for this blog. I am sure everyone's lives have been enriched by seeing our 'happy dance.' =)
