Utah State Fair
On Thursday, September 9th, we went to the Utah State Fair. Lydia loves animals so we wanted to see how she would act around farm animals. She was so funny to watch with them.
We took her to see the pigs first. When she gets excited she starts to kick her legs really fast and she starts to breathe pretty fast too. It is so funny to watch. If you didn't know what she was doing, you would almost think that she was starting to get fussy. She kept trying to touch this pig in the bottom picture.
Then we took her to see the sheep. It was funny because this sheep was standing up as tall as he could and was trying to get us to pet him. The even more funny part is that when my mom was taking this picture, another sheep came up to her and bumped her on the arm which made her jump pretty high.

Then we went and saw the cows. Lydia just wanted to look at them the whole time.
This cow was getting a bath so we were able to get up close to it. Lydia tries to grab animals when she sees them, but then she just ends up poking them in the eyes or pulling out all of their hair.
Lydia also liked the goats, and it appears that the goats liked her too. They probably thought that she was something fun to eat!
She liked the birds too, but they weren't quite as fun because she couldn't get too close to them.
After we walked around the fair we went and saw the rodeo. It was Lydia's first rodeo. I didn't take her cowgirl hat though because the weather forecast had said that it was supposed to be windy and I thought it would blow away. However, the night was almost perfect so I wish I would have taken it!
Lydia would turn her head and follow where the horses were in the arena so we knew that she was watching what was going on. She is such an easy going baby which makes our life so nice!
Isn't she a cute little girl? She makes some pretty good faces.
We love rodeos so we were glad that we finally got to take her to one. I think Lydia will grow up to be a little cowgirl of her own!
