Great Grandma Hull's 94th Birthday

My great grandma (Lydia's great great grandma) turned 94 years old on Sunday, August 29th. We were able to go and celebrate her birthday with her. She truly is such an amazing woman. Even at 94 years old she has the most upbeat personality and has the best sense of humor. It is hard to get a picture of both Grandma and Lydia looking tat the camera. I love watching my grandma with Lydia. Grandma will sit there and play with her hands and talk to her. She always says that Lydia is a busy baby and always wiggling around. Grandma also loves how much hair Lydia has and she says that Lydia just looks like a little doll.It has been so much fun to have such a great opportunity to know my great grandma. She is at almost every family party that we have and has been for as long as I can remember. She has done a lot and seen a lot during her life time. I remember, not too long ago (when she was 89) my family took her to Disneyland with us and also on a cruise. That same summer she was at our house and we were riding horses and after she made fun of us for wasting time by putting the saddle on the horse - because in her day you just jumped on them, they didn't waste time with saddles - she asked if she could ride too. She had her mind set that she wanted to ride a horse, so at 89 years old she climbed up onto the horse.

Since then she has fallen and she broke her femur, which only slowed her down a little bit. That is now healed, but she still has a harder time getting around. She can still walk with the help of a walker though. She still has a will to keep going and that she does. She keeps up with conversations that are going on around her and usually has some witty comment to throw into the conversation. She truly is an amazing woman.

Her birthday party was fun because we were able to just sit and visit with a lot of extended family.McKel and Carson kept fighting over who got to hold Lydia.I think Justin is pretty excited for Lydia to be getting older. I know he'll love it when she can walk and run with him!I think my dad had the most fun with Lydia though. My mom just walked around with her and "showed her off" to all of her cousins and aunts and uncles. We had a lot of fun at the party and we were glad that we got to have Grandma in our lives for another year! Happy Birthday Grandma!
