On the same trip to see Baby Xander we were able to do some other fun things too. We started by playing with my dad in the big piles or dirt he had in the backyard. Lydia helped him climb to the top.
She was pretty proud of herself once she did make it to the top of the dirt pile.
Later we went into town. Lydia thought she was getting away with something because she got to watch Dumbo on my mom's Xoom and use my dad's headphones to listen to it.
We went to Sam's Club and my dad had fun pushing the girls in little wheel barrow like things.
Brooke didn't seem to enjoy it as much as Lydia did.
After being pushed around we went and got some ice cream.
We rode horses on Saturday when Justin was there. Lydia loves riding horses and being around them.
Justin was looking pretty good on Samie.
Justin and Lydia on Samie. Samie has turned out to be such a good horse. I have had her for almost ten years now.
Brooke got to play with toy horses while everyone else was riding.
Lydia also enjoyed being able to visit with the cows on the other side of the fence. She is such a little monkey. If you notice in the picture she is holding onto the fence and just hanging there.
Lydia and Grandpa waving to us on the horses. Lydia will do anything that he does. It is cute to watch them together.
After we were done riding horses on Saturday we went to the farmer's market in Logan.
Lydia is eating a sucker and throwing grass into the little stream.
At the farmer's market they had a play area for kids. Lydia and Brooke had a lot of fun. Lydia kept trying to tickle Brooke and then Brooke would crawl over to Lydia and try to climb all over her.
Some days they are just great buddies!
It ended up being a pretty short trip to Cache Valley because we had to go home Saturday night so we could be at church on Sunday, but it was still fun to get away and to see Xander.
