Brooke is One Year Old

Our sweet little Brooke Brooke turned one year old on September 19!  The year with her has flown by.  It is crazy to think that just two days before she was born we had moved into a new house.  We had very few boxes unpacked and knew where very little was in the house.  It has been so much fun watching her grow up and watching Lydia take care of her.

Here are some things that she is up to:
**Brooke can walk.  She had been able to walk for a couple of weeks, but decided to start walking as her main mode of transportation about three days before her birthday.  It is so cute because she holds her hands up close to her shoulders when she walks.
**Brooke is almost always happy.  Very rarely does she cry or fuss.

**Brooke is very busy.  She doesn't like to hold still.
**Brooke likes to eat real food.  She enjoys being able to eat what everyone else is eating.
**Brooke gives the best hugs.  She will come over to me and climb up on me and then rest her head on my shoulder.  It is the best ever!
**Brooke also gives big hugs to her dolls and stuffed animals.

**Brooke can say Daisy, Mom, Dad, and she knows that a cow says moo.  Brooke also knows says "night night."  She will tell us "night night" when we are going to put her to bed.  Brooke also knows how to say, "na na na" which means no no no.  Sometimes she will start saying it as she goes to do something she knows she isn't supposed to do.
**Brooke likes to kiss.  If you make a kissing sound or give someone a kiss then Brooke starts making the kissing sound and stares at you until you give her a kiss too.
**Brooke likes trying to play pretend like Lydia does.  Lydia often times pretends like she is taking my order and she'll stand by the table and turn to a tree in our front room to get the "food."  Brooke has watched her and will do the exact same thing that Lydia does. 

**Brooke climbs up on the couch and looks out the window in the morning with Lydia when Justin is leaving.  They like to wave bye bye to him.
**Brooke waves whenever you say bye bye or when she is standing by a vehicle that starts up.
**Brooke likes to play peek-a-boo.
**Brooke puts one hand up in the air and starts bouncing up and down whenever she hears any music.

**Brooke loves to play toys.
**Brooke likes to carry buckets and put toys in them as she is walking around.
**Brooke has three top teeth and four bottom teeth with a fourth top tooth coming in.
**Brooke loves babies.  If she sees a baby she instantly tries to get to it.

 We are very lucky to have Brooke.  This  year with her has been wonderful!  She is definitely a sensitive, little angel!  We love her very much!
