Wheeler Farm

The other day I met one of my high school buddies at Wheeler Farm.  For some reason I only took pictures while we were waiting for her and her daughter to show up, I didn't take any once they go there.  The pictures were pretty cute though so I thought I would post them.  Lydia always likes going to Wheeler Farm because she gets to run around and see all the animals.  Lydia stayed in the stroller for a little bit and I got a couple cute pictures of both Brook and Lydia.

 

After about five minutes of waiting in the stroller, Lydia was done and wanted to go feed the ducks (geese).  She is brave and walks right up to them, they are about as big as she is, and tries to feed them from her hand.  She thought it was funny this time to get really close to them and then to turn and run away screaming.

Lydia also enjoyed climbing the fence there.  She is all over the place and so incredibly busy.  It makes it fun though.

 

 

Brooke is so good on our little outings.  She just stays in the stroller.  Sometimes she jabbers, and sometimes she just quietly watches everything around her.  We have fun getting out of the house!

Grandma and Grandpa's House

While Justin and I were gone for our anniversary my mom and dad watched Lydia and Brooke for us.  We left Friday morning and came back Saturday evening.  The girls were spoiled while they were there.  My parents took them to the mall to play on the little play area there.  They usually have a lot of fun there.

My parents always let them ride on the little rides.  Lydia loves it!

 Lydia also enjoyed pushing Brooke around in her stroller.  She thinks it is funny to push her and then let go of the stroller.

My parents also took the girls to a circus on Friday afternoon.  Yes, I felt like I was missing out on everything.  It is hard being away and not being able to experience all of it with the girls, but it is nice knowing that they are having a good time.  Jillian got to go to the circus too.

Lydia was also lucky enough to get to ride an elephant.

 So now she has ridden an elephant, horses, and a lamb.  What a fun life this little girl has.

Lydia also got to ride the ponies there.

Lydia also won the light sword thing that she is holding by coloring a picture.  She calls it her elephant light.  It is funny listening to her talk about it.

While they were there, Lydia also helped make cookies.  She usually goes and gets a spoon to start eating the dough while we are mixing it. 

 

We appreciate my parents watching the girls for us and making sure that they had such a great time!

Four Wonderful Years!

Justin and I went to Lava Hot Springs, Idaho for our four year anniversary!  We took a little detour on our way there and went to Soda Springs, Idaho to see a natural geyser.  We had awesome luck because the geyser is set to go off every hour on the hour (which we didn't know before hand) and we got there at ten minutes to the hour so we only had to wait a little while.  It was cold and rainy while we were waiting, but we had fun.  You can see the excitement on Justin's face.

 

The geyser wasn't anything spectacular, but it was still fun to see.  The area smelled or rotten eggs because of all the minerals.

 

 

 

Those are the only pictures that we took on our trip.  After Soda Springs we headed to Lava Hot Springs and walked through a little museum that they had there.  We then went and ate some lunch at a little restaurant.  After lunch we checked into our hotel.  We stayed at a bed and breakfast inn called Lions Gate Manor.  The rooms are themed.  We were able to take a tour of all the rooms.  One of the rooms was the Phantom of the Opera theme.  It was awesome.  You entered the room through a secret passage and then went down stairs into a river type look.  The room had a mirror that had the Phantom looking back at you and it also had a theater box with a tv in it and surround sound.  It was a cool room.  We debated upgrading, but decided it wasn't really worth the money.  We stayed in the Secret Garden room which was the same themed room that we stayed in on our wedding night at the Anniversary Inn.  The rest of the day we were able to just relax and enjoy some alone time together.  We went and walked through a little garden area and then sat in the hot springs.  We were able to have a nice dinner and then get some ice cream.  On Saturday we spent the day in Logan and went shopping, went on a walk, and out to dinner.   We had so much fun and appreciate my parents for watching the girls for us.

 

Happy Four Years Babe!  I have the most wonderful husband and I am so grateful for all he does!  I love you Justin!

Riding Samie

Justin and I had planned to go on a little over night trip to Lava Hot Spring, Idaho for our anniversary.  Lydia, Brooke, and I rode up a day early with my dad after he got done working.  Our anniversary was Thursday, May 3, and since Justin was at work and I was up in Mendon, I decided to spend the day with the next best thing, Samie.

Lydia had a lot of fun hanging out with me and Samie too.  She loves to be outside and she loves the horses.  She doesn't want any to hold onto her while she is riding either.  She is a pro!

 

It is so much fun watching how much Lydia loves the horses.  I am glad that she is able to have the opportunity to interact with so many animals and to have such fun experiences.  Brooke missed out on all the fun because she was taking a nap.

I like how her helmet (or hat as she calls it) is too big and she can't see.  What a silly girl.  Yes, I know I am riding in tennis shoes.  I had left my boots at home.  Hollie also enjoys being outside.  She is getting a drink out of the horses watering trough.

It was a nice day and we loved riding Samie.  I can't wait until we get things situated to have her at home with us.  It is going to be great!

Planting the Garden

My dad came and helped us plant our garden.  He has the green thumb so I thought it would be nice to learn from him.  My mom was a great helper too because she entertained Brooke and Lydia so we could get it done.  Lydia liked helping though but kept walking over everything as we were planting it.

We have a pretty big garden.  It starts with red potatoes, carrots, peas, tomatoes, cherry tomatoes, zucchini, cucumbers, bell peppers, corn, onions, pumpkins, and strawberries.  I am so excited for it.  Hopefully it will do well.

 

Lydia had fun playing outside while we were planting and doing the initial watering.  At one point Lydia had the hose pointed at my mom and anytime my mom went near her to try to take it away she would turn and spray her and then giggle.  It was pretty funny to watch.  Lydia knew she was being funny.

Lydia found some sprinkler pipe to keep her entertained.

She also kept the dogs entertained and teased them with her cookie.

 

 

 

After the garden was planted we went to dinner at Five Guys.  Let's just say that everyone enjoyed themselves (especially my dad).

 

 

 

 

 

I am so excited for the garden and I appreciate all of the help that my parents have given us.

Brooke

I thought I would post some cute pictures of Brooke.  She is so much fun and is so busy and all over the place.  These pictures show how long her hair is and the color really well.

 

 

 

 This is how her hair looks when we don't do it either!  It gets in her eyes because of how long it is.  She is so cute and fun to have around.
