My parents bought Lydia a big girl bed and it was delivered on Wednesday, February 2nd. Lydia was so excited while the delivery people were here. She would stand by the door and watch them carry in each piece of furniture and then follow them into her room as if she was showing them where is was supposed to go. She calls her bed her "night night bed." We bought her a pink bedspread with horses on it, but it was the Buzz Lightyear sheets that made her the most excited. When we made the bed she asked "where Buzz go" and then would pull off the bedspread and say "there Buzz is."
When I told her that the crib was now Brooke's night night bed she went and got all of her stuffed animals that she insists sleeping with and took them and arranged them on her bed.
Once she got everything organized she wanted to lay down and go night night. This was her pretending to go to bed. She was way too excited to stay in bed for too long though.
She also got a new dresser, night stand, and toy chest. When we were moving her toys into her toy chest she found her frog slippers and had to put those on and hop around.
She also found her baseball mitt. She practiced catching the ball and fielding grounders. She looks like a natural!
