Carving Pumpkins

We carved our pumpkins the day before Halloween.  Lydia picked out a pumpkin for everyone and made sure that we didn't switch it from who she said it belonged too.

Lydia didn't like cleaning out the pumpkin as much as I thought she would.  She was content to watch Justin do it most of the time.  Brooke had fun playing with all the pumpkin insides though.

Justin ended up cleaning out my pumpkin too!
Lydia was patiently waiting for Justin to start carving her pumpkin.  I printed off a list of pictures for Lydia to choose what she wanted her pumpkin to look like and she picked the kitty cat.

Justin carved a kitty cat into Lydia's.  It turned out really cute.  She loved it.
I decided to be extremely creative and just carved MOM into mine.
Justin carved a traditional face into his pumpkin.
I carved Brooke's to look like a ladybug!
Lydia was so excited about her kitty cat pumpkin.
Brooke and her ladybug.
The girls liked to take the stems off the pumpkins.  They wouldn't leave them on.  We put them on the front porch and they had to take the stems off before they came inside.  Silly girls.
Justin had a young men and  young women Halloween party that he had to go to since he is an adviser in the Teacher's quorum.  He was a good sport and dressed up like Robin Hood for the party.
Lydia thought it was funny that Justin was dressed up for his party.  She told him to be a good and get lots of candy.  What a sweetheart!
