Lydia is Ten Months Old!

On Thursday, December 23rd, Lydia turned ten months old! We can't believe how fast she is growing up. She is so much fun to have around and we can't imagine life without her. We bought her a cute, little Christmas dress and she was so funny in it. When we first put it on her, she kept lifting up the top layer and playing with it. I think she could tell that it was a little fancier. She had a hard time crawling around in it because it was longer and fuller than her other dresses. She is learning new things each day. Here is what she has been up to:
**She loves to laugh. She laughs whenever people are laughing, and often times she just sits and laughs by herself. We've heard her laughing in her crib while she is playing.
**She loves mirrors. We have a little mirror for her in my car and she holds it while she is in her car seat. She talks to herself and laughs. She also blows raspberries into it and laughs. It is a lot of fun to listen to her while we are driving down the road. She has also learned where to position it in order to see us in the front seat.**She army crawls all over the place. She does one push with the left leg, and two pushes with the right leg.
**She crawls normally for about three crawls and then gets back on her stomach to army crawl.
**When she takes a bath she likes to lay on her stomach. She will put her face into the water and blow bubbles. She also likes to crawl (she crawls normal in the bath tub) all over in the tub. She absolutely loves baths. We put her in the bath tub one night because she was crying so hard to get her to calm down. It worked like a charm.
**She loves to take toys from Daisy and put them back in her mouth.
**She waves all the time.
**She puts both of her hands straight in the air when you ask her how big she is. "So big!"
**When she wakes up from a nap or in the morning, she sits up in her crib and plays with her stuffed Minnie Mouse in her crib (one day I found her putting the binki in Minnie's mouth).
**She tries to share her food and binki with people.
**She loves to stand up (she likes to stand up in church - we sit on the back row- and watch everyone walk into the chapel).**She loves to be around other kids.
**She reaches for people that she wants to hold her.
**She loves to stand up by her toys and play.
**She loves to eat "real" food. She loves mashed potatoes, bread, and green beans or anything else that we give her. She can really chow down!
**She mimics sounds and actions. We were all whistling and when we stopped Lydia squealed in a whistle sound. She copies lots of other sounds too.
**She knows how to say Daisy and she says it all the time when she sees her.
**She also says Dad or Dadda and Daddy too.**She loves stuffed animals and gets excited when she sees one and especially if one is handed to her.**She is usually happy. We have an occasional fussy day, but they only come once every two weeks or so.
**She is starting to give hugs and loves to give kisses.
**Sometimes when she crawls she puts her head down with her cheek on the ground.
**She has her two bottom teeth.
She really is so much fun to have around. She usually goes to bed around 7:30 and then sleeps until 7:00 or 7:30 in the morning. Can't beat that. She hasn't really been sick. She has had a few runny noses but nothing more than that. We have been very blessed that way. She is a great baby and we love her!
