Christmas Eve

We spent Christmas with my family in Mendon this year. We went up Thursday night after Justin got off of work. On Thursday we celebrated Jillian's birthday (her birthday was on Wednesday).
On Christmas Eve, we started the day off with our traditional sugar pancakes. My dad makes them about two or three times each year for us and Christmas Eve is one of the times. They are really good. We took some pictures of Lydia and Daisy by the Christmas tree because it was the first Christmas for both of them. This was Lydia's favorite game during the Christmas season. She would crawl under the tree and try to pull the ornaments off. After breakfast we made sugar cookies to take to my family Christmas party at my grandma's house.
Lydia loves playing with toys. She loves playing with the dogs too!
Nathan talked Justin and Dan into blowing bubbles with him.My dad taught Lydia how to play wheel barrow. She actually will go pretty far like that.On Christmas Eve we also had a visitor! Santa Claus came and brought Lydia and Nathan a Christmas present. Nathan got a remote controlled police car and Lydia got books. Lydia wasn't scared by Santa Claus at all. She kept trying to pull off his beard though. Nathan was good with Santa Claus as long as Nathan was standing up a little bit away from him.Everyone took pictures with Santa Claus. Justin wasn't around when Santa was here. He missed Santa last year too!I made sure to get in a kiss with Santa this year. Now Lydia can say that she saw Mommy kissing Santa Claus! On Christmas Eve we always have a big dinner. After dinner we open up a special Christmas Eve present (pajamas), watch a Christmas movie (this year we watched The Santa Claus) and then sort the Christmas presents before we go to bed.
